The Grudge is the English remake of a Japanese film and is based on the story from Tokyo.It is about an american woman and her boyfriend who come to japan to work.The woman gets entangled in a curse during the course of her job in a haunted house.The curse kills anyone that comes in contact with it.After many horrific deaths the woman finally subdues it (or so it seems).The story has no definite ending and I feel a second part might also come.The movie is a horror movie.The effects are quite good.The most outstanding thing about it is the direction and the storyline.It takes a lot of your brains to untangle and understand the movie plot.On the whole a good movie but not for the weak hearted!

I myself saw "THE GRUDGE" and thought that though the movie had some spinechilling scenes but the ending was not at all anything to write home about...It sort of ended abruptly and seemed to be incomplete....I hope that a sequel of this movie comes out soon and solve the unsolved mysteries left open in the 1st part.
The direction of movie was good. Some scenes were really horrifying.. But the suspence still remains hanging..Well, let's wait for the second part to come....
