I started this forum so that those who are interested in short poems(max 7-8 lines, I may be making an error by calling it a poem) could post it. This way, even those who arent interested might spare the time to read it, and who knows, get interested!
I decided to start off with one by my favourite author, Robert Jordan.
We rode on the winds of the rising storm We ran to the sounds of thunder We danced among the lightning bolts And tore the world asunder!
You love the roses - so do I. I wish They sky would rain down roses, as they rain From off the shaken bush. Why will it not? Then all the valley would be pink and white And soft to tread on. They would fall as light As feathers, smelling sweet; and it would be Like sleeping and like waking, all at once!
