The reservation policy is not at all appropriate.Infact it will be much better if the govt tries to cater to the educational and other needs of the backward classes rather than passing on such reservation bills. This may seem a good decision to some but it should be realised that down the years it will be the general qouta which will be needing reservation, if such policies are carried out.so the govt should try to find other ways and means to help the backward classes.

[color]=orangeIt is not right on part of government to abdicate its responsibility to the policy of reservations. It is duty of government to educate the people and then they can find jobs for themselves but the Indian government seems to be doing the opposit--helping people find jobs without educating them to the proper level.

I just believe way HRD min ARJUN SINGH is pursuing this policy,  it simply look a political gimmick for vote bank. We had already seen polarization  of society and formation  of new parties due to mandal commission . This will also lead to formation of many mulayam's & mayavati's.SECOND aspect is that these steps will just drag shinning India out of its way .b'coz this will form a new class which is just based on reservation instead of merit.Think of India where 50% of country future is selected on the basis of QUOTA.This step is unfair with lakhs of middle class students whose only pursuit of sucess is selection in better colleges. I don’t know how can this will benefit anyone as already result of reservation r also not very encouraging. If GOV. really wish to help these people then make there primary education enough strong as maximum drop out r from school's only and there basics are also clear to face future competition.Secondly reservation if given should be given on basis of economic basis & for ST minimum condition should be 10th pass from that area only. I THINK WHAT WE CAN DO IS JUST OPPOSSE IT BY ANY WAY WE THINK POSSIBLE AS WE R FUTURE OF NATION.
